Our Team

Crystal completed her undergraduate studies at University of Toronto St. George Campus. She received scholarships to both University of British Columbia and University of Toronto after her International Baccalaureate programme and graduated with honors specializing in Genes, Genetics & Biotechnology and Environmental Studies. Post - graduation, Crystal has worked in both environmental and banking/finance sectors and now decided to pursue a career in the education field given her passion with kids and innovation. 

Crystal’s passion for education started when she flew halfway across the globe in Grade 9 to volunteer as an English teacher in rural China one summer. From then on, she’s always been intrigued by kids’ different learning styles and the psychological aspects of brain development research. In addition to volunteering with young toddlers and orphanages, she has created innovative lessons to teach critical reading and creative writing skills to young children from kindergarten to middle school which help them succeed in common entrance and school application exams. She also further prepared older students for IB, AP, SAT and other overseas entrance exams. With a strong background in both sciences and humanities, Crystal is adept in tailoring class materials that can cater to learners of different education backgrounds and needs. In addition, she’s also experienced in delivering summer and winter academic programs to develop students’ aptitude in creative writing and logical reasoning.

At ARCH, Crystal is an enrichment instructor with a focus on junior to foundation reading and writing programs. She also guides students who are consolidating their English language skills for both exceling at school performance and exams.

If not found around ARCH Education, you can find Crystal anywhere near the sun, sand and sea or stargazing under the night sky. Chasing dreams and finding waves, Crystal likes to fuel her wanderlust - be it diving deep around islands, skydiving from 10,000 feet or simply hitting a tennis ball around with friends. For quieter escapes, she enjoys hiding out in cafe corners, curled up with a good read or perfecting her chinese watercolor peonies. Crystal also loves experimenting in the kitchen with Bon Appétit’s newest recipes in hopes of mastering the perfect chocolate cake.
