Trisha Marvella

University of Hong Kong
Mathematics Instructor

Marvella holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Hong Kong, where she was awarded a full scholarship in recognition of her academic excellence. Her studies provided a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and analytical thinking — skills that continue to support her teaching approach today.

Marvella’s passion for teaching began at a young age, when she helped her younger cousin improve academically. This early experience sparked a lasting interest in education and a desire to support young learners. While she began her professional journey in the actuarial industry—where she developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills—she eventually realized that her true calling was in teaching. Marvella later worked part-time as a math tutor at another learning centre, where she discovered the joy of using interactive, student-centered methods to make math more enjoyable.

At ARCH Education, she is committed to helping children build confidence and a solid understanding of math through engagement and practice. She guides students through entrance examination to externally assessed qualifications.

Outside the classroom, Marvella has a deep passion for dance—an art form she has pursued since the age of four, enjoying both the discipline and creative expression that dance brings. Marvella also has a keen interest in psychology, particularly in how young minds learn and develop. Her curiosity in this area supports her student-centered teaching style, allowing her to better understand and connect with learners of different needs and personalities.
