Our Team

Marvella holds a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Hong Kong, where she was awarded a full scholarship in recognition of her academic excellence. Her studies provided a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and analytical thinking — skills that continue to support her teaching approach today.

Marvella’s passion for teaching began at a young age, when she helped her younger cousin improve academically. This early experience sparked a lasting interest in education and a desire to support young learners. While she began her professional journey in the actuarial industry—where she developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills—she eventually realized that her true calling was in teaching. Marvella later worked part-time as a math tutor at another learning centre, where she discovered the joy of using interactive, student-centered methods to make math more enjoyable.

At ARCH Education, she is committed to helping children build confidence and a solid understanding of math in a supportive learning environment.

Outside the classroom, Marvella has a deep passion for dance—an art form she has pursued since the age of four. Trained in various styles including ballet, hip hop, jazz, and modern dance, she enjoys both the discipline and creative expression that dance brings. This long-standing commitment has taught her perseverance, body awareness, and the joy of continuous learning—qualities she brings into her teaching as well. Marvella also has a keen interest in psychology, particularly in how young minds learn and develop. Her curiosity in this area supports her student-centered teaching style, allowing her to better understand and connect with learners of different needs and personalities.
