Mini Mandarins
Since 2014, Mini Mandarins has helped many students learn Mandarin through its innovative, award-winning thematic learning curriculum. Regarded as Hong Kong’s best language learning center, we provide children with full immersion in a theme-based classroom environment, where they engage in practical language use to develop a love for Chinese culture across conversation, reading, and creative writing.
Our programs integrate three key elements:
LEARN
With smaller class size, our teacher will give more personal attention to each child in the group course. Students will focus on listening and oral speaking, with elements of writing and recognition of Chinese characters to develop a stronger foundation for your child’s mastery of Mandarin.
PLAY
With the vocabulary under their belts, children are ready to put what they have learned into practice. Our program enables children to immerse themselves in a theme-based classroom environment, where they can improve their Mandarin conversational skills through interactive activities.
PRACTICE
Practice is the essential key to master a new language. We provide an interactive and fun language environment to ignite students’ curiosity and interesting learning!

Signature Programs
Our signature program aims to help students develop confidence in Mandarin oral and literacy skills and be inspired to learn in a positive manner. Our 60-minute classes are taught by native Mandarin teachers who have attained distinction level in Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi.
One of the most distinctive features of our program is that students will do role plays in a super-fun simulated area called Mini Metro where they can put their learning into practice. Students can also develop a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Chinese culture through Chinese Tang Dynasty poems, stories and songs.
Signature Programs
Mini Tots 小小寶寶班
- One parent/caretaker is welcome to accompany the student in class
- No pre-course assessment required. Suggested for children ages 1.5 - 2.5 and able to walk independently
- Designed to help students build familiarity with Mandarin in a group social setting, learning theme-based topics through storytelling, music and arts & crafts
- Participate in sensory activities to develop fine and gross motor skills to prepare the students for handwriting
Mini Foundations 小小基礎班
- Pre-course assessment required
- Students are grouped together based on similar proficiency levels and age
- Fundamental sentence formation and grammar practice with words learned under each theme module
- Chinese character recognition and writing preparation with 6 brushstrokes and character structures learning (top-bottom structure, left-right structure)
Mini Masters 小小躍進班
- Pre-course assessment required
- Advanced oral conversations practice to answer questions confidently with suitable level grammar and sentence structures
- Reading and writing activities with advanced learning objectives to help students think creatively and express ideas in a logical, lengthier, and comprehensive manner
- Learn to decode Chinese characters through Chinese radicals and help students recognise more Chinese characters easily
